April 12, 2010 GELC  Coaches Meeting

Location: Clareview Recreation Center -3804-139 Avenue

Time: 6:30pm to 10:00 pm

All coaches,managers, and coaching directors  are invited to come out at any time during the evening. You will be given a passport and work your way thru a number of stations situated around the room. In addition you are encouraged  to attend one or more of the following sessions:

6:30 pm Rookie Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers

Meeting with Darlene Anders, the GELC President and be introduced to the operations and expectations of the league

7:15 PM – Girls Coaches

Meet with Michele Weldon and speak about items specific to girls box lacrosse

8:00 PM – Setting Up a Practice

Meet with Bruce Codd the Alberta Lacrosse Techinical Director and discuss practice planning.

8:45 PM – Rookie Coaches

Meet with Darlene Anders the GELC President and learn about the expectations and  operations of the GELC

9:15 pm – LTAD

Meet with Bruce Codd the Alberta Lacrosse Techinical Director about the LTAD and changes which effect lacrosse in Alberta.

                                                               i.       check out rule interpretations

                                                              ii.      If your new or old welcome Lawrence Zdrill to his position as the new RIC

3.       Equipment  Inquiries_

                                                               i.      Concerns over your equipment as the officials those questions

4.       Field lacrosse

                                                               i.      The Field lacrosse Committee will be explaining their new field program

                                                              ii.      Grassroots Field

                                                            iii.      Razorbacks Field Lacrosse

                                                            iv.      Spirit Lacrosse

5.       Discipline

                                                               i.      Meet the discipline committee

                                                              ii.      Ask questions on how they operate

6.       GELC Administration Table

                                                               i.      Pick up your information package for the season

                                                              ii.      This is the last table you can visit.

7.       Refreshments

                                                               i.      Meet coaches from other clubs and your clubs

                                                              ii.      Enjoy a few minutes of conversation or stay a while
